Scott Dawson, a leader in evangelism, is the founder of the Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association. The ministry that began by giving simple testimonials and speaking at youth rallies has grown into an outreach organization that reaches across age and denomination lines in an effort to offer a unifying message of hope - the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Since 1987, Scott has continued to lead a dedicated team committed to helping people find worth and purpose through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through his efforts in training people and developing strategic partnerships with Christian leaders, Scott is recognized as one of ministry’s most innovative thinkers.

About Strength to Stand Conferences

Scott Dawson’s Strength to Stand Conferences are not for the timid. They are designed to offer a well-balanced, intense experience that will challenge students to a deeper, more effective relationship with Christ. Students’ grades 7-12 spend two nights and three days getting to the heart of what it means to go beyond the surface of casual Christianity and bring them into a lifetime commitment to Jesus Christ. SDEA offers two conferences – the Southeast Student Bible Conferences and the Smoky Mountain Student Bible Conferences. SDEA has been conducting conferences for over ten years. The total number of registrants has grown from 89 the first year to 10,000 annually.

About Pathfinder Missions

“Bless the Lord, who is my rock. He gives me strength for the war and skills for the battle.” Psalm 144:1

In military terms, a pathfinder is a group of soldiers that initiates the charge for battle. For SDEA, it represents students who desire to create change instead of just accepting it. Pathfinder Missions is designed for youth groups to gather together for a time of training and gain actual experience with evangelism. We encourage these students to make the most of every opportunity. (Colosians 4:5) We ask them to open their eyes to see the occasions He gives you to share a simple word of testimony about the change Jesus made in their lives. Students are trained through our curriculum for five weeks prior to the event so they can prepare their persona testimony and share it with others as they converge on a community. Hundreds of people have come to know the Lord through the personal message of a Pathfinder.

SDEA Faith Statement

  • We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God; that it is His holy and inspired Word; and that it is the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice.
