“Safe At Home in Jacksonville, FL proved to be a trying event and day. We had a gate attendance of 5900 people. The crowd was great and very patient. We started the day off with a rain delay which included a couple of 40-50 mile an hour wind gust. Pedro Bragan said the rain most likely cost us another 2 or 3000 in attendance. After 45 mins., the teams took to the field and at the bottom of the ninth inning finished tied 0 to 0. The score was the same at the end of the 15th inning. At this point our crowd had dwindled to an estimated 300-500 people and fading fast. Our Jacksonville SAH was without a doubt one of our most memorable and unusual events ever. Given the great length of the game, we decided to get things started at the top of the 15th inning and moved our event to the parking lot. We began to build a crowd and by the time Scott was able to speak the crowd was generously around 300. God moved in a great way and we witnessed 33 decisions for Christ! This was a tremendous victory for the kingdom of God and we praise Him for it! No matter what distractions, struggles, or hindrances come our way isn’t it great to know the God is going to get His, Amen. Afterwards Big Daddy Weave led us in an incredible victory concert. These guys where real troopers and even though they were way past their scheduled time, stayed and gave us everything they had.
We truly enjoyed our time spent in Jacksonville and hope that you will invite us back again some day. There are so many that helped in many ways and we thank you for your service. We would also like to thank; all of the radio stations who have partnered with us. The Promise 88.1 FM, Way Radio AM 550 and FM 90.7, The LightHouse FM 89.3, WHIF Hope FM 91.3. These stations have set all competitive spirits aside and joined together to assist us in promoting this Kingdom Building effort. We have never worked with such a commendable, reputable, and heavenly minded group of individuals. We want to thank Coastal Equipment Systems for donating the use of their tractor and equipment for the day. Of course, we cannot forget the Jacksonville Suns. We praise God for you and know that He will bless you for your efforts. Thank you for all you have done to make Safe At Home a Reality.”
