For the past 5 years, SDEA has forged successful partnerships with Minor League Baseball teams and local churches from Tampa, Fla. to Columbus, Ohio. Along with Scott Dawson, Safe At Home (SAH) has featured some of the biggest names in Christian music including Toby Mac, Point of Grace, Mark Hall of Casting Crowns, Kutless, Superchick and Nicole C. Mullen. During the 2008 season, SAH events will take place in Oklahoma City, OK; New Britain, CT; Jacksonville, FL and Mobile, AL.
During 2007, Scott Dawson, 40, celebrated 20 years of ministry since he founded SDEA in 1987. Since its inception, SDEA has had the opportunity to minister to thousands of individuals in a variety of events including Strength-to-Stand Student Bible Conferences, Pathfinder Missions, Safe at Home, Community-wide Events and Senior Adult Conferences. Scott is also a noted author with his most recent publication, “The Complete Evangelism Guidebook”, and will soon release a second edition.
Dr. John Corts, former COO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and current transitional president of SDEA said of Scott Dawson, “He has been dually gifted by the Lord. He has both the vision to create unique ministry ideas, and the ability to communicate the Gospel in a powerful way.”
